Al-Qassam Website - Nationwide protests erupted in Libya yesterday following a meeting between the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs and her counterpart from the occupation state.

In a statement, the foreign minister of the occupation announced a recent discussion with Libya's foreign minister, which triggered the outbreak of protests.

Libya's prime minister suspended Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush on Sunday and referred her for investigation.

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned the meeting and all similar gatherings that would confer legitimacy upon the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

Hamas official Basem Naim said the meeting represented a green light for the gang {Israeli occupation} to continue its fascist policies and brutal crimes against the Palestinian people and holy sites.

This was especially concerning given the extremist and racist nature of the occupation's current government, the Hamas official added.

Hailing the Libyan people and leadership's stance, Naim reiterated that this meeting "absolutely does not represent the convictions of the Libyan people renowned for their unswerving support for the Palestinian people and cause".
