Al-Qassam Website - The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has denounced the assault by Israeli occupation forces on the Bab al-Rahma area of the Al-Aqsa Mosque as a "new crime that is part of the fierce religious war against Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque." 

Hamas spokesperson in occupied Jerusalem Mohammad Hamada stressed that the Palestinian people will continue to protect and defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque against the schemes orchestrated by the Israeli occupation and colonial settlers. 

In a press statement Friday, Hamada called on the Palestinian people to intensify their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially as Israeli colonial settles are planning mass raids into the Muslim holy sites.  

Early on Friday morning, Israeli occupation forces stormed and ransacked the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall and seized some of its contents.
