Al-Qassam Website - Five Palestinians have been pronounced dead after a suspicious device exploded while they were peacefully protesting against the Israeli occupation's discriminatory measures against Palestinian detainees.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed the martyrdom of Palestinian freedom fighters Mohammed Qaddoum, Baraa al-Zard, Naser Nofal, Ali Ayyad, and Raed Ramadan.

The ministry added that tens were injured due to the powerful explosion that took place in the Malaka area, located near the separation fence to the east of Gaza City.

Local sources said the occupation forces injured 12 Palestinians with live rounds and exposed others to tear gas while marking the 18th anniversary of the Israeli occupation's withdrawal from Gaza.
