Al-Qassam Website - On the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian Journalists, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has expressed its heartfelt greetings to all media specialists, journalists, and media institutions inside and outside occupied Palestine who play a pivotal role in the Palestinian quest for freedom.

In a press statement, Hamas reiterated that the deliberate killing of Palestinian journalists and media professionals by the Zionist occupation is a heinous crime with no statute of limitations. Instances such as the tragic deaths of Al Jazeera correspondent Shereen Abu Akleh and journalist Ghofran Warasneh in the occupied West Bank are good cases in point, for which their perpetrators must be held accountable.

In the face of the escalating aggression by the Zionist war machine against Palestinian media professionals and journalists, the Palestinian resistance movement emphasised that this would not succeed in silencing Palestinian voices, nor would it be able to block the dissemination of the true Palestinian narrative.

Hamas called on media institutions in the Arab and Islamic world, as well as the free peoples of the world, to express solidarity with Palestinian journalists and media practitioners.
